Up the road from Mitchell Fine Art is one of the most established boutique art galleries in Fortitude Valley – Philip Bacon Galleries. The gallery has established itself as a pivotal addition to Brisbane’s art scene with its role as a leading commercial and educational art facility. The facility opened in 1974 and is renowned for the depth of its showroom, exhibiting many of Australia’s most celebrated, established and contemporary artists.

POP Gallery

Griffith University’s POP (Postgraduate and Other Projects) Gallery is a showroom, studio and research space that showcases the work of postgraduate and research students from Griffith’s QCA. The venue functions as a diverse facility to display the research based exhibitions of emerging artists to a broad public audience. One of the more niche Fortitude Valley art galleries, targeted towards art lovers who are interested in up and coming local Queensland artists.

The Queensland Art Gallery & Gallery of Modern Art
