Animals

No animals of any kinds are permitted in hotel apartments. The Miro Apartments has the right to terminate the reservation effective immediately if this condition is breached.
Car

Car Parking

Secure undercover car park space can be booked with each apartment at $18.00 per night per vehicle. Once your register your vehicle with reception, you will be provided a remote to allow you access the secure car parking at B1 and B2

Visitor parking with height restriction of 2.050M is located underneath the building and has a three (3) hour max parking limit.
B1 Car parking is located thru a secure gated car parking next to the Visitors Car parking with the same height restriction of 2.050M. Please Park at the “RESERVED CAR PARKING FOR THE MIRO HOTEL GUEST “sign or your vehicle may be towed if you park in a reserved space with registration on it.

B2 Car Parking with height restriction of 2.2M is located through the secure roller door and drive ahead at the bottom car parking and please park at the “RESERVED CAR PARKING FOR THE MIRO HOTEL GUEST “sign or your vehicle may be towed if you park in a reserved space with registration on it.

Check Out Time

Standard Check out time is 10:00 AM

If you would like to check out prior to 7am of Monday to Friday or prior 8am of weekends and public holidays, please drop your keys at the Early Check out Letter box in The Miro Foyer area.

If you would like to check out later than 10:00, please inform reception as early as you can therefore, we could advice the housekeeping. For latest check out, that will be subject for availability of the room, and it has an extra cost of $20/ hour

Cots

Baby Cots are available from reception for hire for $11/night.

Clothes Hanging

The Miro Body Corporate By-Laws do not allow clothing or linen to be hung on balcony railings, apartment windows or in common area. A portable hanger is provided for your use within the apartment.

Damages

The registered guest is responsible for any damage to the apartment or common areas cause by themselves or their guests during their stay including furniture, fixtures, fittings. Any damages that occur during your stay will be charged to the bond provided for the room.

Electricity

Please help us protect the environment and decrease our carbon footprint by ensuring all lights, appliances and electrical items and alike are turned off when not in use and before you exit your apartment.

Forms of Payment

The Miro Apartments only accepts the Australian Dollar. International currency can be exchanged to the Australian dollar at any nearby bank. Please refer to page 8 for contact details of nearby banks. Payment can be made for accommodation or extra’s via cash or credit card. Please note there is a 2% surcharge on Visa and Mastercard Credit Card purchases, and a 3% surcharge on Amex payments.

Gardens

Our gardens, plants and flowers are for the enjoyment of all guests. We ask that you do not pick any foliage or dispose of any refuse in the gardens.

Guests

The number of guests which sleep in any apartment may not exceed the number of guests stated on the guest registration form. The Miro Apartments reserve the right to evict additional guests from the property at any time. Please note that 1 Bedroom Apartments accommodated a maximum of 2 guests (3 with a rollaway). 2 Bedroom Apartments accommodate a maximum of 4 guests (5 with a rollaway).

Housekeeping

The Miro Apartments are self-contained apartments, providing you with all the luxuries of modern appliances, so all you need to do is a little shop and settle in. For your convenience we have provided you with a starter pack in your apartment which includes all your basics to get you started. Each apartment is not serviced daily. Your apartment will either be cleaned on your departure or if your reservation spans more than eight consecutive days, you will receive a weekly service. If you would like to request an extra service of your apartment you must let reception know the day before you would like the service to take place. A one-bedroom service would be a charge of $70, and a two-bedroom service would be a charge of $90. Extra amenities can be obtained from reception upon request.

Keus & Remotes

Your keys provide you with access through your apartment door and common doors in the building. Your security fob provides you with access to our lifts, front door, and undercover secure carpark through the roller door at the end of the driveway. If you fail to hand back all keys and remotes on check out, we will automatically apply a charge of $70 for each missing key and $150 for a missing carpark remote.

No Noise Policy

The Miro Management’s primary objective is to provide customer satisfaction with consideration for the general welfare and peaceful enjoyment of all guests and permanent residents. We request that all guests are considerate of other guests especially after 10pm. Please ensure that noise is always controlled including loud televisions and slamming doors. If you would like to report excessive noise which is occurring at an unreasonable hour, please call the Miro Manager on 0450 616 018. If the Manager or Security Staff are required to visit your apartment after hours because of unacceptable noise, a $85 fee will be automatically applied to your account. Between 10pm and 6am there is to be no more than the registered number of guests in the apartment.

Reception Hours

Reception hours are Monday to Saturday 7am-7pm, Sunday and Public Holidays 8am-4pm. The Miro front door is locked outside of reception hours and will require the door code into the silver intercom panel to gain access. If you require access to your Apartment after hours, you will need to present photo identification before access is granted. Please note that there is an afterhours call out charge of $65 which will automatically be charged to your account.

Restaurant

Various restaurants are in the local James St precinct and Brunswick Street.

Rollaway Beds

King Single rollaway beds are available from reception for hire for $35 per night.

Rubbish

Please do not leave rubbish outside your door in the atrium. Rubbish is not collected by staff and is your responsibility to dispose of. The Miro’s rubbish bins are located through the gate halfway down the Miro driveway.

Security Guard

A security guard is present on Friday and Saturday nights between 10pm and 4am. We expect all guests to treat the guard with respect. During the hours the guard is present, they will have afterhours mobile. Please contact the guard with any issues or concerns you may have regarding other apartments. The guard will uphold the “No Noise, No Party Policy” and assist guests. They have the right to call the police to quell any disturbances within the building.

Smoking

The Miro Apartments promotes a smoke free environment in all common areas of the property and inside your apartment. Unfortunately, if we do discover that someone has been smoking in your apartment a $200 fumigation fee will be applied to your account. However, you are more than welcome to smoke on your apartment balcony or courtyard using the ashtray provided. Please ensure your glass door is always closed.

Wireless Internet

Wireless Internet is included in your rate. Choose Freedomshared@miro and enter the voucher number and password provided by reception.

Air-Conditioner

The air-conditioning is ducted in all apartments. You will find the control panel in the wall, usually in the hallway to the kitchen. To turn the air-conditioner on press the orange power button. Pull out and down the compartment cover and press the top right button until either a snowflake appears on the screen for cooling, or a sun appears to indicate heating. Press the fan button along the top of the compartment panel to increase or decrease the fan force. Use the up and down arrow buttons to adjust the temperature of the air-conditioner, we suggest 24 degrees for cooling and 28 degrees for heating.

Intercom

When your visitors arrived at reception advise them to enter your apartment number and green bell to ring your apartments intercom, noting the ground floor apartments will require you to press 00 before the apartment number. To operate the intercom and unlock the reception door for them, pick up intercoms phone and press and hold down the bottom button.

Cooktop

Using the pictures on the right side of the cooktop ascertain which dial corresponds to the section of cooktop you would like to use. Push down and turn the dial until a flame appears. Turn the dial towards the large flame to make the flame larger and hotter and turn the dial towards the smaller flame to make the flame smaller and not as hot. To turn the flame off return the dial to its vertical starting position.

Dish Drawer

Open the dish drawer and press down the top lever on the inside of the front of the drawer. Insert dishwashing powder into the right compartment and close the compartment. Press the double arrow button to select your desired wash type, we suggest the heavy wash. Close the dish draw and press the middle button on the front of the drawer to start the wash cycle. If you would like to pause the dish drawer during its wash cycle, press the middle button on the front of the drawer and wait for the dish drawer to stop beeping before opening it. If you would like to set a child lock on the dish drawer press and hold down the right button on the front of the drawer until the light above the button is lit. To cancel the child lock feature press and hold down the same button until the light disappears.

Washing Machine

Your washing machine is both a washing machine and dryer. This is located inside the cupboard in the bathroom. You will find the instructions for your machine on the inside of the same cupboard door in which the machine is.

Television

If the TV shows no signal first try pressing the menu button and ensure AV is selected. Sometimes the input source has changed from AV, check all sources to check if it has been changed.

Microwave

Press one of the numbered buttons on the right-hand side to select your desired cooking wattage, we suggest 900 watts. Turn the right-hand dial to select the desired length of cooking time then press the start button, to pause the microwave, press the stop button.

Oven

Turn the left-hand dial to select your desired cooking setting, we suggest top/bottom heating 180* degrees. Turn the right-hand dial to select the desired length of cooking time. Press the start button.

Security Deposit

The $200 security deposit or security bond to be provided upon check in and will be released upon departure unless there are any damages or extras outstanding therefore that will be deducted to that security deposit.

If the deposit was provided via credit card – this will be pre-Authorized on your card and see as “Pending “when process on your card and remains on hold during your stay and will be released upon departure

If the deposit was provided via cash – this will be processed as Cash bond and refunded upon departure however prior to that we need to inspect the room prior returning the bond to make sure that there’s no further extra cleaning fees to be applied.

Valuables

All valuables of guest and their visitors are the responsibility of the registered guest.

Water

We ask that you help to conserve water by ensuring that all taps and showers are turned off before moving away from the immediate area.
